8900 Color Plotter Series [Xerox Engineering Systems -- Versatec Products]

The 8900 series plotters are color units that accept media in widths of24, 36, or 44 inches. Drawings of 200 or 400 dpi resolution can beproduced, depending on the plotter model selected. The series can drawon six types of media, including opaque, vellum, translucent, and clearand matte-back film. New features include networking capability, apowerful integrated rasterizer, lower price, and improved mechanicaldesign.The 8900 series consists of the following models:

8924, which uses 24-inch media for C-size drawings.
8936, which uses 36-inch media for D- or E-size drawings.
8944, which uses 44-inch media for E-size or wider drawings.

Each model (above) is available in either 200 or 400 dots per inchresolution.The 8900 series can be configured with RS-232C, Centronics parallel, orVersatec's proprietary parallel interface for connection to most popularcomputers, workstations, and personal computers.
